About Starloom
What is Starloom?
Starloom is a daily wellness and intention-setting app. Each morning it weaves your mood, your goals, and your personal blueprint into one meaningful reflection across six areas of your life, then invites you to journal what resonated. Not a feed, not a scroll. One quiet ritual, once a day.
What are the six threads?
Your daily reflection covers six threads, one for each area of your life:
| Thread | Focus | What it covers |
|---|---|---|
| Space Thread | Purpose & Direction | Where your life is heading, with opportunities and clarity |
| Soul Thread | Love & Relationships | Connection, family, friendship, and romance |
| Power Thread | Career & Ambition | Work, influence, achievement, and drive |
| Time Thread | Health & Vitality | Energy, stress, body, and emotional wellbeing |
| Mind Thread | Learning & Creativity | Ideas, growth, wisdom, and creative flow |
| Reality Thread | Wealth & Resources | Money, security, and what you are building |
How does the daily ritual work?
Your ritual takes a few minutes and has three steps: a simple mood and intention check-in, a personalized reflection the Loom weaves across your six threads, and a private journal entry capturing what stayed with you. Each step builds on the last.
What does "woven from your blueprint" mean?
Your reflection is shaped by a private blueprint you create: your name, your birth date, and any personality details you choose to share (birth time, birth location, MBTI type, blood type). Only your name and birth date are required, everything else is optional. Your daily mood and intention check-in further shapes each reflection. The more context you offer, the more resonant your reflection becomes.
Using the app
How do I get started?
On first launch, tap Begin your journey and Starloom walks you through a short setup: your name, your birth date, and optional details. You can skip any optional step with I don't know. There is no account to create and no sign-in. As soon as you finish, Starloom returns to the Threads tab and shows today's reflection: a daily directive plus six tappable threads. Tap any thread to read that area of life in full. Everything you enter is stored only on your device.
Note: Starloom is free. There are no in-app purchases or subscriptions, and there is nothing to configure or pay for.
How do I re-weave a fresh reading?
On the Threads screen, pull down from the top to re-weave a brand-new reflection for today.
How do I edit my profile?
Open the Cosmos tab, tap Profile, update any field, then tap Save. Saving your changes re-weaves your reflection so it reflects them.
How do I write a journal entry?
After each reflection, a journal prompt appears. Capture whatever stayed with you, a line, an intention, or a note to your future self. Your journal lives privately on your device and deepens the ritual over time.
How do I delete all my data?
Open the Cosmos tab and tap Clear profile. This permanently and immediately erases your blueprint, your check-ins, your cached reflections, and your journal entries from the device. You will return to onboarding the next time you open the Threads tab.
Why do I only get one reading per day?
By design. Starloom is a ritual, not a feed. One reflection per day, with no endless scrolling, no notifications, and no noise. One intentional moment to pause, reflect, and set your direction before the world rushes in. When you open the app, it weaves your reflection for today and caches it for the whole calendar day, so re-opening shows the same one. When the calendar day changes, a new reflection is woven on your next visit.
Privacy & data
Does Starloom have accounts or login?
No, never. There are no accounts, no sign-in, and nothing to register.
Where is my data stored?
On your device only. Your blueprint, your check-ins, your reflections, and your journal entries all live in the app's on-device storage. We keep no server-side copy.
Does Starloom sell my data?
No, never. There are no analytics, no ad SDKs, and no tracking. Your details are used only to compose your reflection.
What happens when I clear my profile?
Everything is permanently and immediately erased from your device: your blueprint, your check-ins, your cached reflections, and your journal entries. Because Starloom has no account and keeps no server-side copy, there is nothing left anywhere else to delete.
Does Starloom use my location?
No. There is no GPS or device-location use and no location permission prompt. "Birth location" is an optional free-text field you type, with type-ahead suggestions, used only to personalize your reflection.
What third-party services does Starloom use?
Two, both used only to deliver the app's features:
- Cloudflare Workers, our own service at
starloom.lanternary.com, which uses Cloudflare's AI to compose your reflection and returns it. Your details are processed only for that request and are not stored (https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/). - Photon / OpenStreetMap, used only for birth-location lookup if you choose to provide one (https://wiki.osmfoundation.org/wiki/Privacy_Policy).
Is my journal private?
Yes. Your journal entries never leave your device and are never transmitted to our service or anyone else. For the full details, see the Privacy Policy.
Technical
What devices and iOS versions are supported?
Starloom is an iOS app. It runs on iPhone with a current version of iOS.
Why is my reading taking a moment to generate?
Each reflection is composed fresh by AI over a network connection, so it can take a few seconds. Generating a reflection is the one time Starloom needs to be online.
"The cosmos is clouded"
This message appears when a reflection could not be generated. Try these in order:
- Check your internet connection. Reconnect, then tap Try again.
- If it mentions "the stars are crowded" (a rate limit), the service is briefly busy or you have refreshed many times in a row. Wait a moment, then tap Try again.
- Try again shortly. If the AI service is momentarily unavailable, waiting a minute and tapping Try again usually resolves it.
A reflection looks incomplete or a thread reads as "veiled"
Occasionally the weave doesn't fully resolve. Just pull to refresh on the Threads screen to weave it again.
